April – After the midweek matches on the 31st March when Deeping
didn’t play, a Newport Pagnell draw saw them take top spot on goal difference
and look like favourites as S&L lost. The first Saturday in April took
Deeping to S&L Corby where they came from behind 3 times to get a 3-3
draw. On he second Saturday Deeping
completed the double over St Ives with a 3-1 win to return to top spot then on
Easter Monday they could only draw at Holbeach
and so dropped to second behind Newport Pagnell. Deepings final game was
a 2-2 draw at Potton and with the other contenders catching up on games played
Deeping finish in fourth place.
March – There are 7 teams in the race for the championship and the heat is now
on! On the first Saturday, Deeping moved back to
the top of the table with a 3-1 win at Northampton Spencer, whilst current

Corby, And in the week S&L Corby
win at home. The second Saturday brought Northampton Spencer to Outgang Road
and produced a 2-0 win for the Rangers. And S&L Corby lost 0-1 at Boston.

Saturday Deeping won 3-0 at St Ives just about killing off St Ives chances of
taking the championship. S&L had a league cup match but the other
contenders all won. Then S&L, Stotfold and Newport Pagnell all won in the
week. And so to the final Saturday and Deeping win 6-1 at home to struggling
Potton but S&L improved their claim by beating Stotfold and the others in

who had won their last 2 games against Deeping and where an exciting game is
