Deeping Rangers FC are delighted to announce the appointment of Pat Rayment as the new first team manager.

Rayment (44), started his playing career at Peterborough United as an apprentice, after signing professional terms at the POSH, Pat transferred to Cambridge United where he spent a further 4 years before going on to play at clubs such as Corby Town, Kettering Town, Stamford, Great Yarmouth, Diss and Gorleston.

TUNCAY Korkmaz has resigned as Deeping Rangers player/manager after three years in the job.

Korkmaz, who guided Deeping to their first ever Eagle Bitter UCL Premier Division title, is the most successful boss in the clubs history.

Triple Cup Success For Juniors

Outgang Road may need a bigger trophy cabinet following the recent Junior Alliance and Youth League Cup Finals!

Many of the clubs younger teams have enjoyed excellent cup runs this season and while the Under 11s and 16s were agonisingly edged out at the semi-final stage of their league cup competitions and the 18s at the same stage of the County Cup, 3 teams did make it through to their respective finals and each side certainly rose to the occasion.

Overcoming the opposition wasn’t the only hurdle Nigel Reeve’s U14 side had to negotiate en-route to their final. At one stage it looked like half the side might miss the big day as the Junior Alliance cup final weekend clashed with a Deeping School trip. However, in an unprecedented move the league kindly agreed to a change of date enabling Nigel’s squad to be at full strength for their encounter with Werrington Athletic Red.

It was clear early on that Rangers 1st division pedigree was going to be too much for their plucky 2nd division opponents as any prospects of a shock were dispelled with a four-goal salvo inside the opening 20 minutes. Hayden Errico set the ball rolling before Matt Sparrow scored twice inside 60 seconds. Captain Ryan Levin then slotted a penalty and despite Deeping taking their foot off the gas in the second half, Errico scored a fifth in the dying moments to complete a comfortable 5-0 win. The fact that Werrington’s keeper was named man of the match certainly told a story!

The following weekend saw the U15s face what on paper looked like a much sterner test in the shape of current division one table-toppers Eye United. However, Chris Lovesey’s side were full of confidence having already seen off four 1st division sides on their way to the final and having the advantage of beating Eye 3-1 in their league meeting.

The game hinged on the opening minutes of each half and it was Deeping who made the most of their opportunities. Excellent finishes from Sam Thompson, 5 minutes, and Liam Buttery after 10, saw Rangers make a dream start and any hopes of an Eye revival were extinguished within 5 minutes of the second period starting when skipper Tom Thurston headed home to complete a tremendous 3-0 win.

Trying to make it a hat-trick of wins were Nigel Smith’s Under 9 Blues who also had to try and overcome a strong Eye side who had already won their zone with a 100% record.

A goal after 4 minutes from striker Joe Hussey was enough to see Nigel’s young charges claim their first piece of silverware. Favourites Eye fought back but a superb battling display saw the Blues hang on to temper the disappointment of two successive seasons as league runners up. Deeping’s Jack Baker walked away with the man of the match trophy after his tireless efforts in defence.

All the finals will be played at the Focus Centre, Dogsthorpe, Peterborough.

The Race night will now take place in the Social Club with the first Race at 7:30pm – Admission on the night is free - The eight races have now been sponsored by The Roe Group, Dimuken (GB) Ltd, Norman Fowler- Club President, Graham Mason – Club Chairman, Manna Flowers, Maharanis Indian Restaurant, DRFC Junior Committee, Deeping News.

Our thanks go to long standing committee members who have regrettably relinquished their positions this year after many loyal years to the club. Alan Smith – Junior and Youth Chairman and Dave Holmes Maintenance Chairman. There is a great deal of work involved in running Deeping Rangers FC and as everyone knows both Alan and Dave have devoted a great deal of time to the Club for which I am sure we are all grateful. We are please to say they will both stay with the club as supporting members, Dave as Groundsman and Alan as the Youth fixture secretary.

Paul Atkins has been elected Chairman of the Junior and Youth section & Gordon Wilkinson as the Maintenance Chairman , we are sure that with their enthusiasm and commitment things will go from strength to strength.

11th May 2008: Graham Mason, Chairman of Deeping Rangers FC is pleased to announce the following appointments to our senior management team ...

Deeping Rangers Football Club has appointed new Management Teams to take charge of their Reserves and Mid Week U18 side.

The new Reserves Manager is Darren Jarvis. His player assistant manager is Wayne Oldaker and the management team is completed with a new coach Martyn Watts. They bring with them a wealth of experience.

Darren captained Posh Youth Team before moving to Deeping Rangers. He has been involved in managing/coaching roles for the past 8 years be it with Deeping Rangers A & B teams, Deeping Sports, and Deeping Athletic.

Wayne Oldaker played junior and youth football for Chipstead Football Club up to Under 18 level, breaking in to the First team when he was only 16. He also played for Fulham F.C from aged 10 to 16. He then had a break from the game before joining Deeping Rangers in the 2004/5 season when he played for all 4 senior teams in his first season. He has been a regular in the Reserves and First Team ever since.

Martyn Watts played for Kingstonians from Under 10’s to Under 16’s during which time he was a member of a treble winning side winning The West Surrey Boys League, the League Cup, and the Surrey County Cup. He also played in the League representative side. Martin played for Crystal Palace from Under 12’s to Under 16’s. He first played for Deeping Rangers B team in 2004/05 season and moved up to the Reserves the following year. His playing career was tragically cut short at 23 by injury.

All 3 have knowledge of players in the local area and they will be looking to strengthen the side for the 2008/9 season. This will involve working closely with Tunkay Korkmaz the First Team Manager, and also Andy Moore the new mid -week U18 Manager.

Darren will be looking to introduce - and then develop further - youth players, hopefully working towards them gaining 1st team opportunities if they are capable of showing the required abilities.

He would like to produce a winning team that plays an attractive style of football that above all, is a joy to play in and be part of.

The new Mid-week U18 Manger is Andy Moore ably assisted by Gordon Wright and Steve Haynes.

Andy has been a player and Junior and Youth team Manager for Deeping Rangers developing and coaching his team through the various age groups. He is also a past Chairman of Deeping Rangers.

His assistant will be Gordon Wright. Andy originally played in a team in Barnsley that was managed by Gordon. Since moving to this area Gordon has been a stalwart of Glinton Juniors and Youths.

Andy and Gordon have a vast knowledge of the local youth football scene and both are keen to develop young players to their full potential.

Steve Haynes was Andy Moore’s assistant last season and has also played for Deeping Rangers. He completes the Management Team.

6th May 2008: Many thanks to every team that entered and enjoyed the wonderful weather at the Deeping Rangers Neil Olson Memorial Sixes Tournament yesterday. 34 teams and over 250 players endured temperatures in the mid 20's all day and the organising committee would like to offer our congratulations to everyone who took part.

12th April 2008: Deeping Rangers will be hosting our annual race night at the clubhouse. Doors open at 19:30 with the first race at 20:00. 11th December 2007: Deeping Rangers have achieved the FA Charter Standard. The scheme sets standards of coaching, administration, and child protection. 5th December 2007: On Tuesday 11th December, during the local derby against Bourne Town FC, representatives from Lincs FA will present Deeping Rangers Chairman, Graham Mason with the prestigious FA Charter Standard for non-league clubs. Rangers Manager Tuncay Korkmaz will also be presented with the Manager of the Month award for November from the Eagle Bitter United Counties League.

Everyone is welcome to come down to Outgang road for a 1945 kick-off. All children under 16 get in free when accompanied by a paying adult to all First team and Reserve games.

19th November 2007: Congratulations go to Dave Dorward (U10 Claret), Simon Robinson (U9 Claret) and Josh Green (U8 Claret) who all passed their FA Coaching Level 1 course at the weekend. 1st Oct 2007: Deeping Rangers FC have received two nominations in the Bourne Local, Sports Personality of the Year Awards.

Deeping Rangers First team have been nominated in the category of Team of the Year for winning the UCL Premier Divison last season.

And First team Manager, Tuncay Korkmaz has been nominated in the category Manager/Coach of the Year.

September 2007: DRFC were represented at the Sports Fayre at the Deepings School. The event was run during the first week of the new autumn term to encourage children of all ages to get involved in sports, both at the school and with local clubs. Jason Chatham and Dave Dorward spoke to over 30 children aged between 11 and 16 about the opportunities available to them through the club - from playing, coaching and refereeing.

July 2007: Deeping Rangers are holding their annual Summer Soccer School at Outgang Road for school years: Reception, 1 & 2. Weekly sessions will be held on the following Saturdays: 30th June, 7th July, 14th July, 21st July, 28th July between 10:00 & 11:30.

The sessions are open to boys & girls of all abilities with the focus being on fun and skills development.

3rd Jun 2007 - Deeping Rangers under 9's are taking the local tournaments by storm as the Clarets powered their way to be crowned champions of the Yaxley Festival of Football

Tuesday, 01 May 2007 - After three successive defeats Rangers recaptured their form to book a Hinchingbrooke Cup final place with a 2-0 win against Barton Rovers. Danny Matson gave Deeping the lead six minutes before half time with David Cobb sealing victory twenty minutes from time. Only sour note was the loss of skipper Lee Ellison with a broken wrist.

29 April 2007 - Deeping Under 12s win the Lincolnshire Under 12s County Cup. They were aso Runners Up in both their League and League Cup.

25 April 2007 - Deeping lost their County Cup final 1-3 against Deeping Moorlands - who avenged their FA Cup defeat earliier in the season

23 April - Top of the table Cogenhoe Reserves beat Deeping Rangers 2- 1 in the Eagle Bitter United Counties Reserve League Cup Final at Thrapston Town FC. This was the Reserves second final loss in the last 3 seasons

Tuesday, 17 April 2007 - Deeping are Premier Division champions for the first time after a comfortable win 2-0 win at Northampton Spencer. Mark Baines put Rangers on the way to victory after 27 minutes, picking the ball up in midfield and embarking on a solo run before unleashing a stunning shot which went in off the post. The win was sealed two minutes into the second half when Sam Bettinson headed home from a Younis Tajer centre.

16 April 2007 - Deeping came second to Wellingborough in terms of attendances - an average of 103 watched each of Deeping's home UCL games, just ahead of St Neots (97) but well behind Wellingborough (196).

14 April 2007 - Deeping win 3-1 at Long Buckby - Deeping now have 3 games to play - all away from home - 2 points from the available 9 will secure the championship

12 April 2007 - Deeping draw 1-1 at strongly finishing Potton., Deeping now have 4 games to play - all away from home - 5 points from the 12 available will secure the championship

9 April 2007 - In todays final home game of the season Deeping won 1-0 against neighbours Blackstones. Deeping now have 5 games to play - all away from home - 6 points from the 15 available will secure the championship.

4th April 2007 - Deeping Rangers Reserves - currently 4th in their league - beat Norhampton Spencer Reserves - currently 2nd - by 3 goals to 0 in their League Cup semi final. They now play league leaders Cogenhoe Reserves in the final on Monday 23rd April

Sunday 1 April - Deeping Under 12s lost their League Cup Final against Wisbech St Mary. Manager, Nigel Reeve was disappointed, but said of his team, “I was proud of the way they conducted themselves today and hope todays result will spur them on to make sure we secure runners up spot in the league, ahead of Wisbech, and that we go to the Lincs Cup Final at the end of April full of confidence.”

31 March 2007 - After todays 1-1 draw with form team Potton, Deeping have 7 games to play - but 6 are away from home - 12 points from the 21 available will secure the championship. The main threat comes from Boston Town who are 4 points behind but have played 2 more games

Saturday, 10 March 2007 - Deeping avenged a Knockout Cup exit against Ar Tarn by winning the league fixture on Desborough's return to Outgang Road. As in the cup meeting, Desborough took a first minute lead through Jamie O'Neill, but Danny Matson levelled after eight minutes. A 20th minute penalty from skipper Lee Ellison gave Rangers the lead but they only wraped up the win in the closing minutes. Matson scored his second of the afternoon after 89 minutes and four minutes into stoppage time he completed his hat trick.

9 March - Our top performing junior teams are the Under 12s and Under 9s Blue who are both currently 3rd in their leagues. The Under 12s are also in finalists in both their League Cup and Lincs Cup. 21st February 2007 A 4-1 Deeping Rangers win over second place Boston takes them 12 points clear of the chasing pack at the top of the Eagle Bitter UCL Premier League. And they have set a new record for an unbeaten top flight start in UCL football - now currently 28 games

17 February - A 2-0 win at St Ives with goals from Matson and Ellison maintains Deepings 9 point lead

14 February - Deeping extended their lead at the top of the Eagle Bitter United Counties League to 9 points and 26 games unbeaten a 1-0 win over local rivals Bourne Town at the Abbey Lawns.

3 February -Deeping win 2-0 at home to Ford Sports with a goal from JPD and a penalty fom Lee Ellisison. With nearest challengers Wellingborough losing Rangers are now six points clear at the top with three matches in hand.

31 January - Hinchingbrooke Cup - Three goals in the opening half hour saw Rangers to a comfortable victory. It took just 43 seconds for Scott Woods to give Deeping the lead, and a brace from skipper Lee Ellison after 10 and 29 minutes all but sealed victory. Stuart Turner scored a 75th minute Athletic consolation.

27 January - A sam Bettinson goal secures a 1-0 home win over Northapton Spencer and maintain a 3 point lead over the chasing 2

20 January - Deeping win 5-1 at home at Newport Pagnell and take a 3 point lead at the top of the UCL Premier League

<6 January - Tuncay Korkmaz is the UCL Premier Division Manager of the Month for December. The citation says "his side collected 16 points from six matches during the month to maintain their unbeaten record at the turn of the year." And they maintain this with a 3-3 home win over St Ives that sees them return to the top of the table

30 December 2006 - Deeping Rangers second string progressed to the semi-finals of the United Counties Football League Reserve League Cup by finishing top of their group with a convincing 7-2 win over their local rivals Holbeach United Res

Tuesday 26 December - Deeping hold on to top spot after beating neighbours Blackstones 2-1 thanks to a Lee Ellison goal well into stoppage time

Saturday 23 December 2006 - A big day for Deeping. A 2-0 win over Long Buckby makes it 20 league games undefeated. Meanwhile neighbours Bourne do us a hguge favour by beating Wellingborough and Deeping are league leaders and still have 4 games in hand over the second placed team

Tuesday 12 December - Danny Matson scored 5 times as Deeping demolished Stotfold 10-0. Deeping lead 7-0 at half time! the other scorers were Baines and Stead with 2 each and Ellis. Deeping move into 2nd place after this win. But Wellingborough also won and remain 6 points clear from 5 more games.

Saturday 9 December 2006 -Deeping's lengthy unbeaten start moved to seventeen games as they completed a double over mid table Holbeach at Carters Park. A lone strike from Jon Stead after 77 minutes gave Tuncay Korkmaz's side their twelfth league win of the campaign. They remain 6 points behind Wellingborough with 5 games in hand!

Tuesday, 28 November 2006 - Sleaford's first venture into the Lincolnshire FA Senior Trophy ended in defeat, but they ran their unbeaten Premier hosts close, taking the Quarter Final tie into extra time. The initial ninety minutes failed to produce a goal but Rangers took the lead after 97 minutes through John Paul Duncliffe. James Baxter levelled for Sleaford ten minutes later but Deeping won it with a Lee Ellison clincher after 115 minutes.

18 November - Wellingborough regained pole position in the Premier Division after edging out fellow contenders Wootton 1-0. Deeping are third, just two points behind with three games in hand after demolishing hosts Buckingham 4-0 with Jon Stead's double and one apiece from Andy Chapman and Michael Stevenson, all in the second half.

4 November - Deeping had to be patient at home to Buckingham before goals in the last half hour from Sam Bettinson, Jon Stead and Mark Baines gave them a win 3-0, and are now just 3 point behond Wellingborough with 3 games in hand.

31 October - Our top performing junior team is the under 11s who are currently 2nd of 8 in their league

31 October - Deeping beat Linclnshire neighbours Holbeach 4-0

28 October - David Mosley who played his last game for Deeping last month today played his first game for Raynes Park Vale in the Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division, when he came on as a second half substitute. Vale were 1-0 down to a 21st minute own goal but two late goals from Marco Torino and Mosley secured the three points. You can follow Davids progress

28 October - Deeping maintain their unbeaten run in the league with a 2-0 home win over Wootton, whilst leaders Wellingborough lost at home to Yaxley

Tues 24 October - Improving Stotfold made it three games unbeaten with a share of the spoils against still unbeaten Rangers. Deeping took the lead through Lee Ellison just thirteen minutes in but a Joe Philbin reply on the hour gave the Eagles their point.

17 October Deeping win 5-1 at S&L Corby to maintain the best record in the league

14 October. League leaders Wellingborough hold Rangers to a 1-1 draw at Outgang Rd - Deeping remain 7 pts behind Wellingborough but with 4 games in hand.

Sat 7 October - This seasons FA Vasse hopes ended with a 1-4 defeat on the Norfolk Broads at Wroxham

Tuesday 3 October - Deeping won 2-1 at Boston with 2 goals from Sam Bettinson early in the second half

Saturday 30th September - Deeping win their Lincolnshire Cup game against Winterton 4-2 with two Lee Ellison goals plus singles from Michael Stevenson and Danny Matson securing a last eight place at home to Sleaford on 2nd December.

Thursday 28 Sept - Deeping Under 18slost at Histon (just outside Cambridge) in the FA Youth Cup first qualifying round.

Saturday 23 September - Deeping beat neighbours Yaxley 3-1 in the FA Vase at Outgang Road, and now play away at Wroxham Town in the next round

16 Sept After achieving 2 FA Cups wins in a row for the first time, Deeping lost their Ist qualifying round match at Rugby by 1-4

Wednesaday 12 September - Following the 12th September Premier Division programme only leaders Deeping remain unbeaten. Rangers opened up a two point gap at the top with a 3-1 Outgang Road defeat of Bourne. Danny Matson, Sam Bettinson and Dave Cornell netted for the leaders with Miles Mason scoring a penalty consolation for the Wakes.

Saturday 9th September - Deeping top the Premier table after blitzing St Neots 5-0 at Outgang Road. Dave Cornell, John-Paul Duncliffe, Dave Mosley and two goal Danny Matson shared the nap hand. That win, coupled with Keith Gray's last minute equaliser at the Abbey Lawn which ended Northampton Spencer's 100% record, took Rangers to the top. Spencer drew 2-2 at Bourne

Saturday 2nd September: Deeping Rangers continued their FA Cup campaign with a 2-1 away win at last seasons FA Vase winners Nantwich Town, with goals from captain Lee Ellison and debutant Matson.

Saturday 26 Aug: Deeping Rangers remained two points off the league leaders by winning 2-1 at Raunds Town. Manager Tuncay Korkmaz and Michael Stevenson gave Rangers their third victory of the season with Richard Tanner replying for the Shopmates

Tuesday 22 August: Deeping dropped their first league points of the season after Yaxley scored from the penalty spot with the final kick of the game, a make the score 1-1

Saturday 19 August: Deeping Rangers opened their FA Cup campaign with a home tie against Lincoln Moorlands, and produced a superb comeback to beat their opponents 5-4 at Outgang Road. After twice leading through John Paul Duncliffe and Dave Mosley Rangers trailed 4-2 until Lee Ellison, Mosley and Andy Ellis turned the tie round.

Tues 15 Aug: Deeping's first home league game of the season produced a 3-0 victory against S&L Corby with 2 goals from Duncliffe and one from King

Sat 12 Aug: Deeping opened their league campaign with a 2-1 win at Cohgenhoe thanks to goals from Andy Ellis and debutant David Cobb

Tuesday August 8:Deeping warmed up for the new season by becoming the second winners of the Lincs Free Press Cup. In the final, Rangers beat higher grade Spalding 2-0 at the Halley Stewart Field with goals from John Paul Duncliffe and Lee Ellison. In the first round on Wednesday August 2 Deeping beat Bourne 3-1 with goals from Andy Ellis, Richard Challinor and Stuart King;

1 August: At the 2006 AGM held at Deeping Sports Club, Outgang Road, Andy Moore stood down as Chairman and was replaced by the Vice Chairman Graham Mason. The position of Vice Chairman was filled by Kevin Davenport. Rangers also have a new President as Albert Lawrence resigned after long service to the club. His place was taken by Norman Fowler

15 May: Deeping Rangers have appointed Tuncay Korkmaz as their First Team Manager. "Tung" has played for Deeping Rangers for a number of years and last season he was first team Captain, and was also Manager for the last game of the season. This is Tuncay's first managerial appointment, but he will be assisted by Dave Simpson, who has previously been Deeping Assistant Manager to Chris Beckett. The 33 year old Turk is in his second spell as a Rangers player having returned from Yaxley early in the 2004-05 season. Korkmaz started out as a youth teamer back in his home country with Fenerbahce, he was a professional with them for three years and had loan spells with Second Division clubs Kasimpasa, Istanbulspor and Bandirma. Since moving to England in 1993 he has had spells with Rushden & Diamonds, Cambridge City, Stamford, Wisbech and Spalding.

Successes for season 2005/6 were:The Under 8s - league champions.The Under 9s Blue - League Cup semi finalists.The Under 11s - league runners up. The Under 13s - PFA Cup winners and league runners up. The Under 16s team - League Cup winners. The Under 18s - beaten finalists in the Eastern Youth League Cup. Deeping A - beaten finalists in the Ancaster Cup. The Reserves- beaten finalists in the UCL Reserve Cup.

2005/06

15 May. Deeping Rangers have appointed Tunkay Korkmaz as their First Team Manager. "Tunch" has played for Deeping Rangers for a number of years and last season he was first team Captain, and was also Manager for the last game of the season.This is Tunkay's first managerial appointment, but he will be assisted by Dave Simpson, who has previous experience of being an assistent at this level. Team coach will be Peter Hall who was coach for Deeping Rangers Reserve Team last season. Sam Seale remains as club physio.

29 April. Deeping beat Wootton 3-1 at Outgang Road, with goals from Jarrod Smith, Andy Ellis and Miles Hunter, to keep Rangers in the Premier League

Tuesday 25th April. The First Team lost their Lincolnshire A Cup final at Outgang Road against local neighbours Bourne Town, by a o-1 scoreline.

5 Apr - Whilst the performances on the pitch by Deeping Rangers senior teams has been up and down this year the club has 2 Lincolnshire Cup Finals and 2 Peterborough Knock Out Cup finals to look forward to. Deeping Rangers Under 12's and Under 14's are both playing in their respective Peterborough Knock Out Cup Finals at Chestnut Avenue on 9th April. The same teams have also progressed to the finals of the LIncolnshire Cup for their respective age groups and those two finals are to be played at Boston United's ground on 30th April.

27 March - A 4-2 victory over Blackstones brought Deeping Rangers' Under 18s REYL team to just 2 points off the league leaders - 3 points now separate the top 5 teams!

25 March - Deeping have their first league win since January - a 1-0 home victory over Newport Pagnell

22 March - Lincs Cup Semi Final- Rangers emerged victorious against Holbeach for a third time this season. Extra time was needed to settle the issue, Ross Nichols winning it for Deeping after 118 minutes. Goalkeeper John Feetham's long clearance was flicked on by Tuncay Korkmaz, controlled by Steve Colangelo who played in Nichols to apply the decisive touch. The final. against Bourne Town, is at Outgang Road on Tuesday 25 April at 7.45

16 March. - Deeping Rangers have appointed Pat O'Keefe as caretaker Manager of their First Team until the end of the football season. They will then be advertising the post of First Team Manager for the next season.

12 March - Deeping Under 8s secured the club's first trophy of the season by winning the Peterborough Junior Alliance Under 8s League Championship

1st February. At the beginning of February 2006 3 of Deeping still has 3 of Junior Teams in 1st or 2nd position in their respective leagues. The stars,our under 8s unfortunately lost at second placed Yaxley in January but retain top place. Our under 9s Claret team won all 3 January games to retain their second place,and under 11s won both their January games and remain 2nd place too. Our under 12s have stiill only dropped 5 points, still have games in hand in their league and have moved up to fourth.The Under 10 Clarets had an excellent January with 2 wins and a draw. Saturday 28 January. Second placed Woodford finally brought Deeping Rangers' terrific run to an end as they completed the double over the hosts to end a winning sequence of four games. Title chasing Woodford are themselves on a roll at the moment, and this win extends their winning run to five games. Dan Bircham was the Rangers hero in the first half as he saved a penalty to keep the scores at 0 - 0. Deeping managed to hold out for 71 minutes before Russ Dunkley scored the first of his brace for Woodford, with his second goal coming two minutes from time. This took Dunkley's tally for the season to 21 goals.

Saturday 21 January. Rangers win 4-1 at Harrowby, and have now won 4 in a row and 6 of their last 7 games. The goals came from Liam Palmer, Ross Nichols(2) and Aaron Last. Meanwile the Reserves beat Northampton Spencer at Outgang Rd by the same score!

Saturday 14 January .Rangers beat Desborough Town 4-1 at Outgang Road, and have now won 3 in a row and 5 of their last 6 games. The goal were scored by brothers, Jamie and Jarod Smith, Dave Robertson and Lee Ellison

8 January. Deeping Rangers find themselves with 2 teams in the semi finals of the Lincs Cups. The Sunday U18s beat Mariners of Grimsby in their Quarter Final tie today. Rangers won 3 - 2 with the 3rd goal coming in the last 2 minutes of the game.the First Team had already qualified for their semi final draw.

4th January. At the beginning of 2006 3 of Deeping's Junior Teams occupy 1st or 2nd position in their respective leagues. The stars are our under 8s who have won all but 1 of their games and have an average result of 6-1. Both our under 9s Claret team and under 11s have only dropped 5 points and find themselves in 2nd place at the turn of the year. 27 December. A late winner from John Paul Duncliffe gave Rangers their second Christmas win. Deeping won 3-2 against Blackstones, with the other goals coming from Smith and Lovas

23 December. Rangers win the first of their Christmas derbys with a 3-0 victory at Bourne, thanks to goals from Lee Ellison, Jarrod Smith and Dave Robertson

18 Dec. Deepings Press Officer writes "We thought things were looking up following two wins, but the first team lost to Buckingham yesterday. The Reserves are still flying high. They beat Cogenhoe 3 - 1 at Outgang Road. The U18 Midweek Team are now unbeaten in 7 games and are 2nd in their League. The First Team are in the Semi-Final of the Lincs A Cup. The remaining teams are Boston, Holbeach, Bourne, and Blackstones so the remainder of the competition should be interesting. The editor of the UCL magazine is visiting Deeping Rangerrs on 27th December to do a feature on the club for the second issue".

9 Dec. Following a 3-0 away win in midweek in the Lincs Cup, Deeping win 3-1 at home to Holbeach, to make it 2 wins in a row and 6 league points against Lincolshire rivals Holbeach

29 October. Rangers FA Vase run ends with a 0-4 defeat to Buxton Town. In the previous rounds they had had a 1-0 win at Rainworth and a 2-1 home win over Stapenhill

22 September 2005. Deeping Rangers Football Club celebrated their 40th year with an Anniversary Sportsmans Dinner at the Deepings School. The main guest speaker was Former Arsenal and Scotland Goalkeeper and TV Presenter Bob Wilson. A special guest was Lincoln City FC Manager Keith Alexander.

6 September. Rangers beat top of the table Boston Town 4-3

1 September. Deeping's FA Cup run this season was short lived. After achieving a 0-0 draw at Oatgang Rd, Deeping lost the replay 0-1 against Norton from Staffordshire.

17 August. Deeping take thieir first 3 points of the season with a 4-2 win at Holbeach

3 August. THe Lincs Free Press Shield brought a win and a loss for Rangers - a loss on penalties at Bourne and a win against Holbeach

19 July. Deeping Rangers are drawn at home in both the FA Cup and the FA Vase. They play either Norton or Alvechurch in the preliminary round of the FA Cup on 27 August and Stapenhill at home on 17 September in the Vase

2004/05

22 June. Under 7s celebrated victory at the Northborough football tournament. The under 7 team were recently also runners up at Wisbech St Mary and the Yaxley football tournaments.

13 June. There will new people in charge of two of the teams run by Deeping Rangers Football Club next season. The Under 18 Midweek Team, who play in the Ridgeons Eastern Youth League, will be managed by Dave Vaughan, and he will be assisted by Dave Holmes and Phil Jarman. Dave Vaughan previously was U18's Assistant Manager. The Reserve Team will now be managed by Mac Paget, who will also be assisted by Phil Jarman. They play in the Eagle Bitter United Counties League Reserve Division One. Mac is no stranger to football management and previously managed the Reserve Team for 10 years during which they won 2 League Titles. He has been with Deeping Rangers for 30 years. The new management teams will work closely with the Youth Team Managers to bring players through and to prepare them for first team football.

29 May. At the Yaxley Festival of Football Rangers were runners up at Under 7s and Under 12s. The Under 7s were beaten on penalties in their final, whilst the Under 12s lost 0-1 to PSV.

13 May. At Deeping Rangers Presentation Evening held at Deeping Sports and Social Club, the followung awards were made.

19 April. Deeping Rangers A team beat Bourne Town Reserves in the Ancaster Cup Semi-Final. The final score was 2 - 2 after full time, and Deeping eventually won the game 3 - 1 on penalties to progress to the final. (NOTE the final was won 3-0 by Blackstones Reserves)

13 April Deeping Reserves lose their league cup final against Stotfold at St Neots 2-4

19 February. Deeping at last get the win they have being threatening for some time, thanks to an Ashley Stevens tat trick they win 4-1 at S&L Corby

16 February. Deeping's Under 18s Eastern Touth League team lose their top of the table clash to Bourne 2-3

19 February Deeping Rangers U7's played in a mini-soccer challenge on Peterborough Embankment. They did very well on the day and emerged from the group stage at the top of the pile with an unbeaten record having won 3 and drawn 3. Unfortunately they were beaten 2 - 0 by Yaxley Yellow in the semi-final of the knock out stage, but were awarded player of the tournament. On 5th March the team will be receiving a new kit from their sponors United Vanliners Ltd. This will be presented to the squad at half time during the Peterborough v Barnsley game at Posh's London Road Ground.

15 February. The third draw on the trot for Deeping Rangers, and another game they dominated and should have won. The game at St Neots ended 0-0

12 February Deeping dominated tis game against Northampton Spencer but again only managed a draw with Ashley Stevens scoring for the home team

5 February. A Bobby Lewsham hit trick put Deeping 3-1 ahead at Desborough but the game ended 4-4! The Bobby Lewsam hat trick came in a UCL record time of 2 minutes 58 seconds

2 February. Deeping grap a last minute draw at Boston

27 November: Deepings home game with Newport Pagnell is abandoned when Deeping keeper Ricky Dent is rushed to hospital by ambulance

24 November: After a run of three defeats Deeping bounced back with a 2-1 win at local rivals, Bourne Town, New signing, from Bourne, Bobby Lewesham scored both Deeping Goals.

31 August: The FA Cup will be at Deeping Rangers ground on Saturday 4 Sept for the game v Glapwell, to mark the opening of the new turnstiles acquired from the old Wembley stadium. The FA released this to promote the occasion and interviewed Vince Adams

16 August: Deeping host the Sheffield United Academy in their final pre season friendly and play well but lose 2-4

14 August: Rangers open their 2004/5 Eagle Bitter United Counties Leaague season with a 2-0 win at Daventry Town. New signing, Gianni Santora scored a goal in each half.

1 July. At the club AGM Andy Moore was elected Chairman, replacing retiring Jon Sandal. And Graham Mason was elected to replace Andy as Vice Chairman.

Highlights of the season were:-

26 June. Under the leadership of Neil Waumsley the u11s took on six top junior sides at a very well run tournament at Spalding. After the group stage Deeping had a record of won 3, lost 2, drawn 1 and finished runners up in the league stage and so moving into to a semi-final against a strong Lincoln side who had beaten us in the group stage. Revenge was sweet for the boys who put in a tremendous performance to win the game 1-0 with a cool finish from jake mclarnon. The final paird Deeping with Sleaford United, the other team to beat the lads in the group stage, but once again Deeping turned that round with a brave and hard working perfomance coming out on top 2-1 with goals from thomas Waumsley and Callum Fox, with Stephan Gait making a couple of great saves at the other end.

3 June Our Under 11s successfully defended their trophy at the "Yaxley festival of football" for their age group. With a very tough group to get through including division 1 champions PSV, Deeping qualified for the semi final as runners up to Yaxley, the only team they lost to all day. After overcoming Deaconians in the semis they had their chance of revenge when they met the hosts in the final. Deeping had saved there best football of the day overpowering Yaxley 3-0. Well done to James Jane who was named man of the match.

9 May - Deeping Rangers finish their Eagle Bitter United Counties Premier League season in 17th place (out of 22). The highlights of the season were taking 6 points off each of Boston Town (who finished 5th), Harrowby United (3rd) and Long Buckby (21st), and 4 off each of Lincolshire local rivals Bourne Town (15th) and Spalding United (champions).

Jan 23: Deeping Rangers under 11s (now Under 12s) , who completed a treble in 2003, winning the Peterborough Junior Alliance League and Cup and the EASY cup were runners up in the Peterborough Evening Telegraphs Team of 2003 competition.

Oct 22. Outgang Rd hosts its first competitive game against a Football League club when the Under 18s Eastern Counties Youth League team face Mansfield Town in the First rpund of the F A Youth Cup. They lost 2-9, after previously winning through 3 qualifying rounds.
