No matches for few weeks over Christmas, next league match on Sat 12^th January against Abbey Athletic at home. The next training session will be on Wed 9^th January 6 – 7 pm at Deeping Astro Turf.

Saturday 15^th December away match at Eye. Let’s meet at club ready to leave at 9.30am so we’ll be ready to kick off at 10.30 am. See you then. Training as usual on Weds 6 – 7 pm. Then a few weeks off over the Christmas break, next league match on Sat 12^th January 2008!!

Next Saturday, the 8^th December, a well deserved week off. The following week, 15^th December sees us travel to Eye. Kick off time to be confirmed. Times will be posted on web site when they have been confirmed.

Saturday 10^th November match is at home against Bourne Clarets, meet at Outgang Road at 10.00. Early night for the boys on Friday!!!! As much help as possible with the nets would be appreciated.

Saturday 3^rd November match against Parkway Eagles Kick Off at 10.30 am. Convoy to Itter Park will leave DRFC at 9.30 am. Please be on time so we can get away at 9.30.

Friendly matches have been arranged for Saturday 27^th October. Bourne Blues are travelling to Outgang Road, they will play both Deeping Blues and Deeping Clarets. Also both Deeping teams will play each other. Please be at Outgang Road at 10 am. Dads, a hand with the putting up the goals would be appreciated.

STRONG START FOR ‘MITIE’ RANGERS

Now we are four weeks into our first Peterborough Junior Alliance League season, Deeping Rangers Blue U8’s find themselves second in the table after 3 great wins and one narrow defeat. The disappointment the boys showed after losing shows how far their expectations have reached this season, but the 1-0 defeat to Abbey Athletic will be a great learning curve and aid their development in the game.

Prior to the Abbey game, Rangers had enjoyed wins against Netherton Falcons (3-1), Nene Valley Lynx (7-1) & Eye United (2-1) which had seen them top the table in the Under 8 Red Zone.

Thinking back to this time last season, it has been amazing to witness the progress the players have all made individually and how they are blending together as a team.

Thanks go to Tim for tireless efforts in managing training and organisation and to all parents for getting the boys to training and matches on time.

We are really looking forward to the remainder of the season in which hopes are high for a competitive and rewarding finish. More updates to follow as the season progresses.

Training continues on Wednesdays at the Deepings Astro Turf between 6 – 7 pm and our next league match is Saturday 3^rd November against Parkway Eagles – kick off time yet to be confirmed.
