Welcome to the home page of Deeping Rangers Under 16’s.

After a disappointing campaign last season, a strong squad has been assembled for the 2007/2008 season. Having had the luxury of choosing a squad from as many as 22 players, 17 players were signed for this season, which along with 12 of last seasons squad, also included Darren Henderson returning from a year at Peterborough United, Bradly Brocklesby joining from local rivals Baston, Kieren Bagnall and Jack Smith making the trip from Holbeach and Dale Forster.

With changes being made to the league structure, three leagues have become two, offering more games in the season.  Sadly, 12 teams quickly became 10 as 2 sides withdrew for Division One, but this still gives us 18 league games, as well as two cup competitions – The League Cup and The Lincs Cup.

Pre season gave us a good opportunity to look at our new players and gel the team together before what would prove to be a challenging season.  Results were mixed, but overall performances were pleasing and it quickly became apparent that we had a talented squad with cover for all positions.

Our main aim is for each member of the squad to enhance the skills that they already have and end the season a better footballer than at the start, and be prepared for the transition to Senior football. With this aim, and a strong squad, everything points to a successful and thoroughly enjoyable season.
